Add Your Own Value

When it comes to social media and content marketing, you have to find ways to add your own value.

If you aren’t adding your own value, you’re not giving people a reason to get content from you. And it’s important to build relationships that are authentic, and lasting, instead of just having split-second interactions with people who will never interact with your brand again.

Fortunately, you do have value to offer; otherwise you wouldn’t be in business in the first place. Successful social and content strategies come from analyzing how you deliver value to customers and finding ways to either deliver this value in the digital form or to add value.

Here are some ways your company can add value through your social and content marketing:

  • Provide a unique perspective of expert point of view that’s closely related to your company’s value proposition
  • Take advantage of opportunities to provide customer support
  • Answer people’s questions with thoughtful, helpful advice
  • Foster relationships with existing customers to cultivate loyalty
  • Give a detailed answer about a FAQ (you could even try doing a video!)
  • Help guide people through the buying process (aka a buyer’s guide)
  • Do an interview with an expert in your space on a current topic
